Artist's Comments
In this piece, I wish to demonstrate how distracted we are, as consumers of the digital age are, from the many devastations and problems that the other people in this world are experiencing daily. The main character is playing his video without noticing the sufferings around him. We are viewing this piece that exists in a box, or rather I wish for the viewer to be the video game screen that interacts with the characters. Techniques such as perspective, balance, spacing are applied in this oil, acrylic, and water color piece.
